Dr. Jay and Michelle offer distance assessments, targeted treatments, and personalized coaching and support to help you achieve your weight loss and wellness goals.

The initial packages for new patients will help you get your hormones and metabolism back into balance so you can feel like yourself again, and get back to doing all the things you want and love.

 

Maintenance packages are perfect for ongoing check-ins and support during the year after you’ve completed your four-month package or initial consultation. Typically maintenance follow-ups are every three months.

 

Dr. Jay has a special focus on working with women in their peri and postmenopausal years between 36-69, however, with his extensive knowledge and experience, he can work with anyone at any age to optimize their health and feel their best.

What are your qualifications?
Dr. Jay Wrigley, NMD

Dr. Jay is a Functional Medicine Doctor and Naturopathic Physician with over 24 years of practical experience working with the unique hormonal concerns of peri- and post-menopausal women. He uses evidence-based natural medicine, diet, and lifestyle techniques to help countless women find relief from hormonal issues, fatigue, digestive issues, insomnia, headaches, and more.

After graduating from Taylor University, Dr. Jay went to UNC-Chapel Hill for his master’s degree in Biochemistry, and then on to The National College of Naturopathic Medicine graduating in 1993. His post-doctorate education and training were in Functional Medicine and Clinical Nutrition.

 

Michelle Dowker, MSc, ND

Michelle Dowker is a Wellness Strategist and dietary coach with an educational background as a Naturopathic Doctor. She holds 3 post-secondary degrees that took 10 years to complete: a bachelor of science in biomedical science, a Master of science in human biology and nutritional science both from the University of Guelph, and a Naturopathic Doctor diploma from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine.

She uses her knowledge and experience to help people better understand their own bodies, their choices, and she helps them work through their challenges and implement the best dietary and lifestyle strategies that will work for them.

 

Both Dr.’s Jay and Michelle received complete training in the biological sciences such as anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, epidemiology, histology, blood chemistry, neurology, and pharmacology, as well as conventional medical diagnosis and treatment. In addition, they received extensive training in clinical nutrition, botanical medicine, and lifestyle counseling.

Both practitioners are passionate about keeping up-to-date on the latest nutritional and physiology research. They can see what works and what doesn’t from scientific research results, and also in a practical manner from their private practices.

What's the difference between consults with Dr. Jay and Michelle?

Dr. Jay

Has a special focus on helping women with hormone balancing and improving metabolic function. He uses targeted and personalized natural supplements to help you get the results you’re looking for, including more energy, better sleep, improved mood, better sex drive, no more hot flashes, and, of course, improved weight loss efforts, whether you may be struggling from a weight-loss stall or plateau, or have been having trouble getting weight loss started at all. 

Michelle

Focuses on dietary, lifestyle, and mindset strategies. She works with you to fine-tune your dietary approach, providing meal prep and menu ideas in a way that works with your lifestyle. She helps you figure out what exactly is working and not working in your diet, and helps you figure out how to fix it. In addition, her life coaching strategies help you develop better stress management skills, and get to the root of any mindset issues that might be keeping you from achieving the results you truly want.

Michelle also has a special focus on working with women who struggle with chronic illnesses such as endometriosis and autoimmune disease. She’s helped countless women overcome exhaustion, pain, and more, and regain the energy to get back to doing the things they love.

How do appointments work?

For the best results, it’s highly recommended that you choose one of the New Patient packages if you’re new to Dr. Wrigley. This way, you can make the initial adjustments and changes suggested after your first consultation, and at follow-ups, receive additional suggestions, tweaks, and guided support to provide you with the best success story possible.

 

For the New Patient packages with Dr. Jay

When you choose any New Patient package that includes consults with Dr. Jay, you will receive an initial assessment consultation and action plan workup in month one. Then four weeks later, you will receive a follow-up consultation session, then eight weeks later, your second follow-up consultation session.

During consultations with Dr. Jay, he will suggest targeted dietary and nutritional supplementation approaches that will help you optimize your hormonal and metabolic balance, so that you can lose weight, gain energy, sleep better, and feel your best.

You’ll also receive access to the 8-week online program Ketogenic Code with any of the New Patient programs. This online program will guide you step-by-step through all the general dietary and lifestyle guidelines that both Dr. Jay and Michelle suggest for all new patients and clients. Accessing this program will save a lot of time during your one-on-one visits, leaving more time to discuss more personalized and targeted matters, so you can get the most out of your visits.

 

Coaching sessions with Michelle

Strategy sessions with Michelle last generally 60 to 90 minutes and are spaced out every four weeks for the first four sessions. Maintenance sessions can be carried out every two to four months afterward.

During coaching sessions, Michelle helps you troubleshoot what may or may not be working with your diet and lifestyle, and helps you figure out the best plan that will work for your body and your life. Michelle guides you through HOW to implement the dietary and lifestyle adjustments that are best for you, in a way that works for you.

She can also help you work through important challenges in your life like stress management, emotional eating, life purpose, and fulfillment, anxiety, and more so that you can feel not only your best physically but mentally as well.

What happens when I hit the "Book Now" button?

Once you hit the “Book Now” Button, your selection will appear in a different window. For any of the multi-visit packages, you will be given an option to pay in full, or with a monthly payment plan. Choose which option you prefer, and you will see another window pop up with a disclaimer agreement.

This agreement is simply to provide permission to share your email address with us so we can send you your 8-week program and all other necessary information to set up your sessions with us.

Once your payment is processed, you will receive a PDF download with a list of all the steps to schedule your first session with us, and your login information for the Ketogenic Code program if you’ve chosen one of the 4-month new patient packages.

You will also receive a confirmation email with all the same steps. It’s very important to check your spam, junk, or promotions folder if you do not receive this email within 15 minutes of your purchase, as it can sometimes end up there.

But what if I don't want the Ketogenic Code program?

The Ketogenic Code online program comes as a bonus with any New Patient Consultation package.

If you’re a new patient to Dr. Wrigley, it is highly recommended you go through the 8-week program Ketogenic Code. Even if you are a long-time veteran to the ketogenic diet, there will be information and suggestions within the program that you will likely not know, or have likely not already tried.

If Dr. Wrigley or Michelle were to have to explain all the information and suggestions listed out in the online program, it would take a lot of time during your one-on-one sessions. Instead, the basic general information is laid out in the program, saving time during your visits with them for more personalized and targeted matters. This is why we’ve included the program in the New Patient Packages.

What if I don't have a PayPal account?
No problem!
